The President of the Sino – Czech Aviation Association visits China to resume cooperation interrupted by the pandemic

In late April 2023, the President of the Sino-Czech Aviation Association embarked on a visit to China to engage with key cooperative partners, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange within the aviation sector between the two nations.

On April 24th, the President arrived in Beijing, where he paid a visit to the China Air Transport Association (CATA), a valued long-term partner of our Association. During this visit, the atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the discussions were very much in tune with the principles and content outlined in the Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation signed by both entities. However, the primary focus of the discussion was on the specific areas of cooperation, which included forums and conferences, advancements in aviation transportation, training programs for airline pilots, aircraft sales, and technology transfers.

On April 25th, the President’s itinerary included a visit to the Cangzhou Sino-Czech Industrial Park, where he conducted a thorough inspection of the manufacturing facility operated by the Czech-Sino Shark Aircraft Manufacturing Company. Notably, this company has recently received a production license (PC) from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), signifying its authorization to commence aircraft production. Indeed, the assembly of several initial aircraft units, destined for the Chinese market, has already been successfully completed.
